Liberty

We took a trip to Nauvoo our last week there.  On the way we stopped at Liberty Jail again and did the tour.  Afterwards we had a splashy little picnic at the sprayground before getting on the road again.

This is a new way to get a picture of the Liberty visitor's center.  To the near right of the Em's head, in the distance, obscured by water, is the building where Liberty Jail is housed.

Em and Kfifer had a lovely time soaking themselves, but Alex wasn't having a bit of it.

The Fourth of July

What a neat Fourth of July we had this year.  Grandpa had the kids and Mark come and march with his band in a parade and Alex and Mum went to watch . . . but ended up marching too with a great stroller/car made by Bro. Skow.  It was a lot of fun and we had a day of partying finishing up with fireworks in the driveway at night.

All set to march.  I had a number of people come up and take pictures of the kids.  Alex surprised me.  I thought he'd be hard work, but he was just gorgeous sitting up there waving to the people by the roadside and saying "hi".  I think he quite loved the whole thing

The Three Musketeers

The kids all love the bubble bath and spent hours at a time with the jets making the world's best bubble bath.

Alex had to hop out after a while for fear he'd sit down in the bubbles and we'd loose him!

Em and Kiffer just about disappeared themselves.

But with a group this good-looking, it wasn't so hard.

Wolfersbergers in Kansas

Here are some of our favorite photos from our June-July Kansas Trip.  The kids had an absolute blast staying with Grandma and Grandpa and getting to see all their Denver cousins.

Em and Gill spent all day preparing a show for us in Camp Sherwood (the basement).  Everyone got into the spirit of performing ad we had numerous shows including some great dancing from Grandpa and Grandma.

Playing in the sprinklers turned out to be a great pastime on hot afternoons.  The kids liked to give hugs when they were soaking wet.

Tarzan at Alligator Pond

A few Saturdays ago we hit a weekend that was tolerable for a beach visit.  Mark and the kids had a great time playing Tarzan and swinging from the trees, while Alex was content to splash in his own little rock pool.
Here's Alex all decked out for conference today.  I thought he looked rather spiffy in his new tie...it didn't help him behave any better unfortunately.  Send all advice for keeping a 1 year old quiet for 2 hours in conference when he is overdue for a nap to www.imnotlisteningbecause itwontworkanyway@yahoo.com.
Yesterday we headed off to the bishop museum to check out their animation exhibit.  It was really great and kept us well entertained on a rainy Saturday morning.  We loved all the silly antics that got caught on tape and played back to us with special effects.  Here are Mark and Emily filming a stunt scene.

Waimea Saturdays

We just bought a new pass to the valley as it is our best hiking option now that Alex is too heavy to carry up the Hauula trail.
Daddy is really addicted to the ukulele and can't stop playing even for a hike now.  Nice walking music though.

Fabulous February

BYUH Food Fest, one of our favorite little Saturday night outings.
Hauula Elementary put on a nice valentine's lunch for parents to come and eat with their kids.  
Saturday morning pillow fights. . . out of control if you ask me.
Our aspiring pianist who loves to push every button her can get his chubby little fingers on.
